Removing the old jetty - February 2023

These images, taken on 1 Feb 2023, show more of the removal of parts of the old jetty, this time from closer on the forehore. The legs of the jack-up platform are now almost at their maximum height as the rig hass been moved to shallower water. The Clyde Fisher remains moored alongside as commissioning work continues on the new jetty.

Much time has already been spent disconnecting each part from the whole. Sections of the three main pipes have been cut to length by oxy-acetylene cutting equipment. The crane lifts each severed piece onto an adjacent barge for disposal.
